MEMORY BRIDGING Incorporated was founded in Destin, Florida, in February, 2007 by Steve Barone, Sr.,
Dan Kostelnik and Rick Watson. The three partners ran successful home care businesses
where clients and their family members were asking for assistance with memory loss challenges. After a global search for available therapies and treatments for memory loss, they found research which
supported the use of cognitive stimulation in a one-to-one delivery model. The
research results indicated a positive outcome in the majority of cases with marked improvement in cognitive function. In several cases, the impact of the treatment lasted from five to seven years.
Unlike
many current therapies using a single type of stimulation, MEMORY BRIDGING's Cognitive Stimulation Coaching (CSC)
tailors a program to the specific needs and goals of the individual and we use several types of therapies in one session. We have determined that each client is different and, on any day or at any moment,
their level of functioning may vary greatly. Therefore, CSC
uses Reminiscence Coaching, Perspective Validation Therapy, Cognition Awareness, Cognitive Stimulation Exercises, Tactile
Exercises and Spaced Retrieval. Each mode is tailored to the individual based on their
personal
life history.
A strategic alliance has been formed with the largest geriatric medical practice in the United
States, Senior Care of Colorado, as a result of their belief that CSC
is a viable therapy for individuals with memory loss challenges.
MEMORY BRIDGING Incorporated is dedicated to providing Cognitive Stimulation Coaching
to individuals with memory loss challenges with this goal: to improve cognitive functioning of our clients and the quality
of life of our clients, their family members and caregivers.
